After revealing teaser images on their social media sites and even on their official website, Japanese vehicle maker Honda has now said that they will be launching the newest version of their popular premium hatchback, the Jazz, on the 8th of July this year in India.
Potential customers of the new Honda Jazz can choose between a 1.2 litre petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine for their vehicle. However, while buyers of the diesel version will only get a 5 speed manual transmission, those who purchase the petrol version of the car will get the additional option of selecting either a 5 speed manual gearbox or a CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatic.
The new Jazz was already supposed to be on Indian roads by now but, Honda had to delay it on account of production issues. Honda will also be aware of the fact that when the new Jazz is launched in India, it will have to go head to head against some formidable rivals such as the Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, Tata Bolt, Fiat Punto Evo and so on. To give it an advantage, expect Honda to equip the Jazz well with features such as a touchscreen audio system, alloy wheels and bluetooth connectivity, to cite a few examples
